What are the meanings of the numbers and symbols on an NFPA fire diamond? There are four portions to the diamond.
The three colored areas have numbers ranging from 0 (least severe hazard) to 4 (most severe hazard) (most severe hazard).
The fourth (white) section is empty and is only used to indicate unique firefighting measures or hazards.
